When praying “…Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven…” and “…Give us this day our daily bread…” do we really reflect on how God is going to do it? Are our hearts and minds open to receive the how?
Elijah received his daily bread by and through ravens, scavengers, and birds that prey on dead things. Are we sensitive enough to His Spirit to hear, experience, see, and be aware of our daily bread, our daily portion? Have we done everything that we are supposed to with what we have been issued and granted with today? Daily bread is God giving us everything that we need to sustain us for that day.
Jesus, I pray that Your grace, power, mercy, and love will never deprive me. Remove false hood and lies far from me. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the provision allotted to me for this day.
